Express Pot Roast

This super tender and tasty dinner was a hit for the entire family!  It is the perfect meal for Holiday get togethers.  Using the 8-quart Crock-Pot® Express Crisp Pressure Cooker made it simple to make too!

Express Pot Roast Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 pound beef chuck roast
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil plus additional
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoon onion salt powder
  • 2 teaspoon garlic salt powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds mix of small red, yellow and blue potatoes (can use any potato cut in chunks)
  • 5 large carrots, chopped into large chunks 
  • 1 large yellow onion, cut into chunks
  • 3 garlic cloves (sliced)
  • 3 cups bone broth
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

Turn on your 8-quart Crock-Pot® Express Crisp Pressure Cooker and set it to brown. In a small bowl stir together seasonings. Drizzle roast with olive oil, rub mixture all over the roast to coat all sides.

Drizzle additional oil in the bottom of the pot. When oil is hot place roast in the pot.  Brown 4-5 minutes on each side, repeat until browned on all sides.

Change pot setting to meat and place pressure cooker top on.  Allow to cook for 35 minutes (allow time for your Crock-Pot® Express Crisp Pressure Cooker to heat).  Release steam via vent and then carefully open.  

 

Add potatoes, garlic, onions, and carrots to pot and pour broth and worcestershire sauce over all. Return the lid to top the pot. Place the setting to rice/grains and allow to cook 12 minutes. Release steam via vent and then carefully open .

 

 

 

Place the 8-quart Crock-Pot® Express Crisp Pressure Cooker Crisping Lid on top.  Push the crisp seeing and allow to crisp 15 mins. Release steam via vent and then carefully open.  

Transfer the roast, potatoes, garlic, onions, and carrots to a platter. Serve and enjoy!
